Établissements Jean-Pierre Moueix = JPM, is a Bordeaux négociant house founded by Jean-Pierre Moueix in 1937, situated in Libourne. Jean-Pierre Moueix retired in 1978 and died in 2003. In 1991, his son Christian Moueix became president of JPM while his grandson Edouard Moueix joined the company since 2003.

JPM is famous and respected as a specialist of right bank among wine-professionals. Exclusively or major part of top chateaux (ex : Lafleur, Gazin etc) are distributed by JPM. Besides, JPM owns and produces Trotanoy, La Fleur Petrus, Hosanna, Lagrange a Pomerol etc.

Especially, their old vintages have premium value. They have stored all the wines in the cellar in Libourne in perfect condition. Then wines are released after several years (sometimes after several decades). The direct allocation from JPM is considered as the best way to buy old vintages of right bank wines.

Chateau Petrus was managed by Christian Moueix since 1971, but in 2008 he stated his intention to distance himself from Petrus, limiting his role to that of a consultant.

Christian Moueix also owns the vineyards in Napa California, called Dominus Estate and Ulysses Vineyard. These are recognised as top California wines.

Produced in very limited quantities, Annonce enjoys the same attention as the Grand Vin. A significant portion of Annonce is produced from younger vines, which are part of a replanting program initiated after the Moueix family acquired the estate in 2008. This strategy aims to improve vineyard yield and quality over time as these younger vines mature. It won't be long before the first label "Château Bélair-Monange" is produced from the same vines. Thus, drinking the current Annonce is like drinking the future Château Bélair-Monange. You already understand, of course, that in French, "Annonce" means "announcement" in English, and it also signifies 'sign' or 'omen'. The 2021 Latour à Pomerol delivers a strong showing in bottle, unwinding in the glass to reveal aromas of minty dark berries, licorice, violets and pencil shavings, followed by a medium-bodied, fleshy and suave palate with good depth at the core, lively acids and powdery tannins that have integrated well with élevage. In the 2019 vintage, this estate was a highlight of the Mouiex portfolio, and the 2020 Latour à Pomerol is a terrific follow-up. Bursting with aromas of cherries, dark berries, licorice, black truffle and petroleum jelly, it's medium to full-bodied, with a broad attack that segues into a rich core of fruit that's framed by sweet, powdery tannins. The 2021 La Fleur-Pétrus has realized all the potential it showed in barrel and stands out as a real success on the Right Bank. Wafting from the glass with notes of cherries, dark berries, licorice, anise, violets and baking chocolate, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered, with a velvety attack that segues into a suave, seamless mid-palate that exhibits good depth and concentration. The rich, seductive, full-bodied palate is laden with black fruit preserves and exotic spice layers, framed by velvety tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and fragrant. With a little swirling, this baby comes bounding out of the glass with energetic notes of wild blueberries, Morello cherries, baked plums and black raspberries with wafts of Indian spices, lavender, garrigue and tobacco plus a hint of licorice. Medium to full-bodied, the black and blue fruit dance playfully on the palate with fantastic freshness to lift the bold flavors and a superb frame of ripe, velvety tannins. The 2017 Trotanoy is 100% Merlot and begins quite stubborn and broody on the nose at this youthful stage, needing a lot of coaxing to reveal a core of plum preserves, blackberry pie and licorice with suggestions of cast-iron pan, underbrush, tilled soil and charcoal. Medium-bodied, the palate is not at all weighty, but it is built like a brick house, with bags of restrained, muscular fruit and a solid line of firm, grainy tannins, finishing with epic length and fantastic tension. The 2014 La Fleur Petrus is impressive out of barrel and it continues to evince quality now in bottle. It has a lovely, engaging bouquet with vivacious redcurrant and cranberry fruit, superb mineralité and energy, real focus and a sense of drive in situ. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, a sense of symmetry and poise from start to finish. It has perhaps turned into a slightly more elegant and feminine wine than I anticipated, less bullish than the Hosanna.
