Giovanni Canonica produces stunning wines from only 1.5ha vineyards in Paiagallo and a new vineyard in Grinzane Cavour(since the 2012 vintage). The 2016 Barbera reached 15.5% alcohol and has a thick, gorgeous texture. It required several years of aging in the beginning, and now the wine is beginning to show good integration.
