35 - 60 years old Gamay vines are planted on 1.2 ha Fleurie Charbonnières(Soil : mixture of granitic sand, weathered rock, igneous rock) and the vinyard has been managed organically more than 20 years. / The 2018 Fleurie Charbonnières wafts from the glass with high-toned aromas of raspberries, cherries, rose petals and licorice. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and multidimensional, with an ample core of fruit, succulent acids and a saline finish. This bottle flirts with volatility, but it's beautifully balanced, with real structural elegance, so I found much to admire. RP91

It's a cloudy, nectar-like rich Umeshu. Good as an apéritif or digestif.

Albariño from Echizenhama Niigata. Fermented in stainless tank with cold temperature to keep fresh acidity. Dense, mineral, light nuance of orange peel with long after taste. This flagship of Fermier Albariños goes very well with sophisticated modern Japanese cuisine.
