The lieu-dit “Mainbey” is located on the other side of the small valley that separates it from the village of Fussey, at a high altitude of 470 meters. It is the biggest lieu-dit of the domaine, divided into three Chardonnay parcels and one Aligoté parcel. All of the Chardonnay parcels are in good health with modest vigor. Floral with orange peel, elegant. Dense yet harmonious with impressive length. Vibrant and energetic, with elegant acidity. (by Chanterêves)

Over 45 years old vine Pinot Noirs from Paris l’Hôpital in Haute Côte de Beaune of dark sandy Granit. As the sandy steep slopes are prone to erosion, the middle of the rows are all year no-till. Floral with bouquets of dark red fruits. Very fine tannins with racy acidity. Complex and structured. Dense yet lifted. Floral, mélange of red and dark fruits. Palate: well-structured with present tannins. Fresh with beautiful acidity. (by Chanterêves)

Certainly the best Hautes Côtes de Beaune Tomoko and Guillaume have made in 10 years. Performs well above its humble appellation and it well matches a good village or even some 1er cru.
